What does your role at OCO include?

I am excited to build relationships with Our Children Oregon to create an environment where all children thrive and succeed in the state of Oregon.

What brings you to this work? What values drive you?

As a former elementary school teacher for four years and now working in nonprofit fundraising for five years, working with Our Children Oregon is the perfect fit for me, combining my passion for working with children and advancing their opportunities by building relationships in the community and across the state.

Standout books or podcasts that speak to you?

One of my favorite books is Thirst, by Scott Harrison. Scott shares his story of how he worked with Mercy Ships which showed him the need for clean water across the world and inspired him to create the international nonprofit Charity: Water. I enjoy the book as it’s interesting to hear how he turned his life around and what pieces were important to him in creating the nonprofit.

What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work?

I am involved with a variety of local nonprofit organizations in the community.
